Joseph Stannah designed and built his first lift for moving ships’ cargo in the 1860s. Five generations later, we are still a family-run and owned company and we still approach our work with the same dedication and attention to detail that Joseph displayed.
We’ve come a long way in those 150 years and we are now a global business with a turnover in excess of £195M and employing 1,500 people, a leading manufacturer and distributor of lifting products, including elevators, escalators, goods lifts and stairlifts. And of course, we’re members of all the trade bodies and meet all codes of conduct and product safety requirements in full.
